摘要: Based on a comprehensive review of the literature as well personal experiences at tertiary children's hospital, we present an encompassing guide management children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in otolaryngology practice. ASD is involving persistent deficits social communication and interaction across multiple contexts restricted repetitive patterns behavior, which presents early age causes significant impairment function. With increasing prevalence autism, otolaryngologist's understanding disease how it affects patients paramount importance order to provide safe medical surgical environment. Special considerations outpatient visit peri-operative setting can enhance patient-provider relationship improve quality care delivered. We discuss several strategies, such utilization devices use pre-medication prior surgery, facilitate clinical experience.
