摘要: ABSTRACT Introduction Narrowing the awareness-preparedness gap in bushfires (wildfires) means that new strategies and tactics will be needed to improve human safety survival this increasingly frequent severe globally significant natural hazard. One way do is explore peri-event experiences of novel demographic groups living working at-risk areas determine how best strengthen a collaborative, mutually beneficial interface with emergency responders. Thus, study included participants from one demographic, animal owners, combination Animal owners themselves are large, diverse group whose preparedness response behavior has not been assessed respect their potential contribution contemporary hazard management. Method Data was collected using semi-structured interviews focus discussions four responder classifications who were asked about perceptions bushfire. Thematic Analysis (TA) used for data analysis because its flexibility suitability pragmatic qualitative study.
