Abstract For public health strategies and preventive purposes, it is of interest to understand the associations between cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle strength disease risk factors children adolescents. Development new more accurate methodology assess fitness may help better elucidate links from on early ages. The overall objective this thesis was examine association physical (focused strength) both traditional young populations, develop methods estimate adolescents.A (aged years), adolescents years) three different studies were involved present work: study Adolescence) Study. main outcomes were: Physical associated myriad parameters people. Cardiorespiratory inversely with children. factor, such as homocysteine levels female after controlling for potential confounders including 677C>T genotype. Muscle inflammatory proteins, reactive protein, A equation maximum oxygen consumption 20m shuttle run performance (last half stage completed), sex, age, weight height has been developed cross-validated. There anoptimal grip span which dynamometer should be adjusted when measuring handgrip results show that especially an important marker also people, shown adults. Health information systems include monitoring among individuals. ofefficient large-scale collection data improve quality accuracy outcome.
