摘要: We present three methods for producing lightweight waveguide- and antenna components by autocatalytic electroless copper plating on plastics. Waveguides the Ku-band are manufactured through; 1) extrusion of ABS plastics; 2) 3D printing with Stereolithography (SLA) polymers and; 3) composite forming in Particle Pressure Chamber (PPC). The covers applications from prototypes to mass production, house space approved extremes. In previous it has been difficult exceed 2 μm layer but this work we utilize a method plastics unlimited thickness here stopped at 4-5 thick glossy layer. Measurements conductivity attenuation have shown that performance is approaching standard aluminium waveguides 0.0375 dB/cm loss, reduced weight lower cost if made series. Refined waveguide samples will be measured conference presentation.
