摘要: Infection is a rare but severe complication in prosthetic surgery of the shoulder. Data collected from literature reveals an incidence about 0.5% (0—3.95%range) for non-cemented prostheses and 2.9% (0—15.4%range) cemented [15]. Due to low statistical total number cases, compared more common hip knee prostheses, this experience limited few cases surgeons. We can, however, forecast that these possibly incidence, will increase future as shoulder arthroplasties increasing both arthritis glenohumeral joint well proximal humeral fractures.
