摘要: Transcription and translation of Lhc (cab) genes have been compared in the chlorina f2 mutant barley (Hordeum vulgare) its wild type to study effect chlorophyll b's absence on regulation assembly light-harvesting complexes (LHC). All tested were transcribed amount their respective mRNAs increased rhythmically upon illumination etiolated plants. The synthesis individual LHC apoproteins also had a rhythmic pattern when total leaf protein extracts examined, whereas they gradually thylakoid. Only some pigment-proteins present wild-type thylakoids found mature membranes. Thus, only 25-kD (type 3) apoprotein three major IIb complex survived. minor II was considerably reduced but not zero. Photosystem I two la little those lb. This reflected shift 77-K emission maximum whole leaves from 741 732 nm. It is concluded that largest Ib need b for stable integration into membrane posttranslational plays role assembly.
