摘要: A new easily scalable approach to the recovery of biologically active oligosaccharides from milk has been developed which relies on combination en- zymatic treatment defatted using b-galactosidase and nanofiltration. It was shown that enzymatic hydroly- sis lactose significantly improves efficiency selectivity membrane-based separations. With best membrane, as much 6.7 g (containing very little contaminating lactose) could be obtained one liter human in just four nanofiltration cycles. The oligosaccha- rides recovered by this method were inhibit binding intimin, an adhesion molecule enteropatho- genic Escherichia coli, epithelial cells vitro. No sig- nificant difference oligosaccharide profile between samples prepared conventional gel- permeation chromatography found. is also suitable for substantial quantities tri- tetra-saccharides caprine milk. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
