Purpose: The present study investigated the effect of maximal strength training on running economy (RE) at 70% oxygen consumption (VO2max) time to exhaustion aerobic speed (MAS). Responses one repetition maximum (1RM) rate force development (RFD) half-squats, consumption, RE, MAS were examined. Methods: Seventeen well-trained (nine male eight female) runners randomly assigned into either an intervention or a control group. group (four males four females) performed sets repetitions maximum, three times per week for 8 wk, as supplement their normal endurance training. continued during same period. Results: manifested significant improvements 1RM (33.2%), RFD (26.0%), RE (5.0%), (21.3%). No changes found VO2max body weight. exhibited no from pre post values any parameters. Conclusion: wk improved increased among well-
