摘要: Summary To investigate the pathological and immunological profiles of rat tuberculosis, Lewisfemale rats were infected aerially with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Histopathology, immunological mononuclear cells from M. tuberculosis-infected lungtissue, expression patterns cytokine iNOS mRNAs examined overtime. tuberculosis induced granulomatous lesions in lungs, spleen, lymph nodesand liver, but these lacked central necrosis. Multinucleate giant wereobserved late-phase CD4 + CD8 T increased time andreached a peak 5 weeks after infection, decreasing gradually thereafter. ED1 antigen, suggestive alveolar macrophages, was expressed at high level early phasetuberculosis remained same even late phase. OX62 antigenincreased reached infection. Interferon-g, tumournecrosis factor-a strongly over time, theirexpression decreased 12 Because is very similarto murine it easy to obtain lung tissue, model appears be suitable forimmunological studies vivo.KeywordsFACS analysis, RT-PCRMice, rats, guinea pigs rabbits have been used as animalmodels human Mice show lower tuberculinsensitivity less caseous necrosis than beings. Guineapigs, species good delayed-type hypersensitivity, arethe most susceptible four animals usually develop ablood-disseminated disease similar that observed infantsand immunosuppressed individuals. The rabbit commonlaboratory animal which closely resembles thatfound humans (Dannenberg 1999). Pulmonary granulomascan aviumand bovis (Francis 1958). Guinea andrabbits are not for becausecongenic strains few sufficient number monoclonalantibodies against pig antigens avail-able analysis. frequently forsuch purposes because there lot congenic strainsavailable immunology well established likehuman immunology. However, roles ofcells pulmonary tissue moredetail, difficultto analysis frommurine also difficult perform tuberculin
