摘要: Recent work upon the kinetics of oxidation aliphatic hydrocarbons has led to recognition certain characteristic features that find a ready interpretation in terms chain theory chemical reaction. Thus, for example, both paraffins and olefines exhibit well-defined induction periods, pressure limits inflammability marked sensitivity influence surface, point directly intervention reaction chains; although precise nature mechanisms is somewhat uncertain great deal information available as their length, branching characteristics, mutual interactions stability. Corresponding data alicyclic aromatic compounds are, however, very scanty only one instance comprehensive systematic kinetic study been made. Fort Hinshelwood (1930) Amiel (1933 a, b , 1936) have investigated slow combustion benzene whilst it shows general resemblance ethylene there are respects which significant differences occur. concluded oxidized by mechanism, chains initiated predominantly gaseous phase being short continuation.
