摘要: Human adenovirus serotype 7 (HAdV-7) is a reemerging pathogen identified in acute respiratory disease (ARD), particularly epidemics affecting basic military trainee populations of otherwise healthy young adults. The genome has been sequenced and annotated (GenBank accession no. AY594255). Comparative genomics bioinformatics analyses the HAdV-7 sequence provide insight into its natural history phylogenetic relationships. A putative origin from chimpanzee host observed. This implications within current biotechnological interest using adenoviruses as vectors for human gene therapy DNA vaccine delivery. Rapid sequencing this species B1 member an example exploiting accurate low-pass technology characterization epidemic outbreak surveillance through identification, validation, application unique signatures.
