摘要: A definition of the effective permittivity and permeability is proposed for two-dimensional photonic crystals. Expression these parameters deduced from combination dispersion law with formula reflection coefficient a semi-infinite crystal in single-mode approximation. From expressions, it shown that take purely real values when truncation plane contains an inversion center infinite crystal. In addition, are demonstrated to be continuous bounded mode turns propagating evanescent only if eigenmode fields fulfill specific symmetry conditions.
