摘要: Abstract Aims This study aims to describe the incidence of infective complications, including tumour endoprosthesis infection, in a cohort patients undergoing surgery Victoria, Australia. Methods retrospective was performed over 15 years (January 1996–December 2010). Results 121 underwent during period. Patients were followed for median 34 months (interquartile range [IQR] 17, 80). Overall, (28%) experienced complications including: bacteraemia 19 (16%) and infection 17 (14%). The majority with early late acute infections (haematogenous) managed debridement retention prosthesis addition biofilm-active antibiotics. Late chronic predominantly by exchange prosthesis. overall success rate treatment 71%. 75% compared 67% procedures. Conclusions There is significant following 14% experiencing involving endoprosthesis. first report on outcomes from prosthesis; which had comparable rates other modalities.
