摘要: IN comparison with the pyrimidine bases of nucleic acids, purines are relatively inert to photochemical alteration. No photoproducts derived specifically from adenine or guanine have been isolated ultraviolet-irradiated DNA RNA. However, purine and nucleosides can be substituted at C8 by free radical species generated photochemically simple alcohols, amines, ethers, these reactions may relevant radiation-induced cross-linking proteins, other biological molecules, acids1. We report here that guanosine is in a similar manner radicals produced on photolysis 8-bromopurine give compounds which two nucleoside moieties coupled together through their respective positions.
