摘要: Abstract The prospective role of the land snail Rumina decollata as a potential paratenic host Toxocara cati for domestic cats was studied. R. specimens and cats’ feces were collected from open spaces Buenos Aires city hospital. Cats’ analyzed snails digested to identify T. stages, by morphological molecular analyses. larval eggs recovered 23.5% (4/17) sampled feces. Twenty percent pools (5/25) confirmed be positive spp. third stage (L3) PCR. mean value total larvae per gram in all 5.1, with maximum 33 L3/pool. This is first report infective host, since relationship between infection could demonstrated common environment.
