摘要: Among 33 botanicals screened against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (Foc), the causal agent of wilt disease banana, only Zimmu leaf extract recorded 100% inhibition both mycelial growth and spore germination Foc pathogen. Further evaluation at different concentrations under greenhouse conditions in cv. Grand Naine (Cavendish-AAA) showed complete suppression (disease score 1.0 which means healthy) 50 concentration application methods viz., drenching as well dipping banana roots extract. Soil completely inhibited propagules within 20 days treatment micro pot conditions. The field conducted (Cavendish -AAA) Foc-sick also demonstrated that with (50% w/v) very low internal scores 1.5 when compared control plants 5.8 on a scale 1 to 6. In addition significantly increasing plant parameters such height, girth number leaves, increased yield particular bunch weight 80.8% untreated plants. principle compound involved has been identified lipid. This is first report suppressive effect finding this study would ultimately be useful for sustainable farmer friendly management worldwide.  Key words: wilt, f.sp. cubense, Zimmu,
