摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to compare serum N-terminal peptide type III procollagen aminotransferases and γ-globulins as a marker for histological activity in patients with chronic hepatitis assess the role I collagen, new marker, fibrosis these patients. Sixty biopsy-proven were included study. Liver disease virus B-related 29, autoimmune five, drug-induced unknown etiology 21. Each biopsy independently assessed by two liver pathologists. Two scores, score fibrosis, established. Serum collagen assayed liquid phase RIA. Significant correlations noted between scores ( r = 0.70, p −4 ) 0.45, 0.46, 0.0004) 0.67, ). When correlation 0.52, 10 considered partial correlation, correlated 0.63, but not 0.58, −3 ), activity. Correlations alanine aminotransferase 0.50, 0.37, 0.004) ware significant, less than procollagen. In conclusion, our demonstrated independent hepatitis. It suggested that patients, might be better or γ-globulins. Moreover, novel metabolism, fibrosis. markers metabolism may represent an alternative assessment particularly during clinical trials.
