摘要: The authors study the optical properties of self-organized three-dimensional metamaterials, and explain their observations with a simple analytical model. These systems exhibit three outstanding features: tunable plasmonic response orders magnitude stronger than previously reported; operation in visible, rather infrared or microwave, spectrum; fabrication via self-assembly, complicated multistage process such as lithography. Thus metamaterials potentially provide practical attractive avenue for future applications.
