Analysis of treatment failure after radiosurgery for arteriovenous malformations

摘要: Object. The aim of this study was to evaluate the causes treatment failure in patients with arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) who underwent radiosurgery, which is increasingly used as a method for selected, surgically high-risk AVMs. Unfortunately, radiosurgical fails small but significant percentage patients. In time period covered study, 72 attained angiographically confirmed cures after radiosurgery and 36 were retreated initial failed. Methods. Using computerized image fusion technique, dosimetry plan superimposed on remaining AVM nidus at retreatment.
