摘要: Stereotactic radiosurgery for arteriovenous malformations (AVM) of the brain was introduced by Steiner in 1970 at Karolinska Institute. However, concept radio-surgery coined Leksell 1951, when he first described his technique irradiation a sharply delimited intracranial target with stereotactically directed narrow beams ionizing radiation [7]. Today, can be defined as single-session predetermined volume, causing destruction or desired biological effect this tissue volume without damage to surrounding tissue.
