摘要: Spanish-English coordinate bilinguals were subjects in a GSR linguistic conditioning experiment using strong and mild buzzer conditions spoken stimuli. Each subject was randomly assigned to one of two lists words levels sounds. A Spanish word from the list an English functioned as conditioned (CS). The related semantically phonemically unrelated CS. Generalization studied under conscious unconscious conditions. We found that both resulted significantly greater responses semantic phonemic than not words. There tendency toward generalization condition. opposite observed regarding buzzer. results same languages. Under unstressful condition, be more prominent This suggests normal condition is mediated by cognition. concluded emotion produces increase phonemic, compared semantic, Hence, primitivization subjects' cognitive functioning assumed have occurred. These are important understanding deleterious effect stressful situations may on cognition bilinguals.
