摘要: Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) sequestered in dentine matrix has an important role dental tissue repair after injury and its exposure at sites of may stimulate tertiary dentinogenesis. This study aimed to investigate the expression TGF-beta isoforms mature human ability chemical treatments expose on cut surface using gold immunolabelling subsequent scanning electron microscopy examination. TGF-beta1 was only isoform that could be detected nature treatment influenced detection. EDTA provided good surface, whilst citric acid sodium hypochlorite revealed lesser amounts this isoform. Only minimal staining for observed samples treated with phosphate-buffered saline. TGF-beta2 -beta3 not specimens any treatments. suggests is expressed by odontoblasts implying differences isoform-extracellular interactions exist. Information immunostaining provide a useful basis selection preparation techniques clinical restorative procedures facilitate mediated reparative processes injury.
