摘要: The paper assesses on empirical grounds the level and evolution of regional inequalities in each European Union new member-state (EU NMS) examines possibility for emergence convergence clubs. experience EU NMS is a unique situation, where relatively closed economic systems opened, almost at once, to world economy and, same time, market mechanisms replaced central planning. Thus, understanding spatial pattern growth may provide valuable insight theory policy. application non linear econometric models, which transcend “all or nothing” logic behind conventional analysis, has shown existence clubs many NMS. identification clubs, irrespective that emerges NMS, highlights heterogeneous impact integration process.
