摘要: It is common for the airlines to sell a pool of identical seats at different prices according booking classes improve revenues in very competitive market. Under this practice, complex yet crucial problem determine whether request certain class occurring some point time during period should be accepted or denied. This paper develops discrete-time dynamic programming model finding an optimal policy, which can reduced set critical values. Unlike many existing models, does not require any assumptions about arrival pattern various classes. Furthermore, multiple seat bookings, are practical issue airline inventory control, also incorporated into model. In paper, basic properties studied. Numerical examples presented. Computational issues, including computational efficiency model, discussed.
