摘要: Abstract Objective: Antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) has been used to combat local infections, and it consists of the combination a photosensitizer, light source, reactive oxygen species (ROS) kill microbial cells. In this study, we evaluated effectiveness aPDT in treatment candidiasis HIV-infected patients. Methods: Twenty-one patients were divided into three groups. Control group (CG) was treated with conventional medication for (fluconazole 100 mg/day during 14 days). Laser (LG) subjected low-level laser (LLLT), wavelength 660 nm, power 30 mW, fluence 7.5 J/cm2, contact mucosa 10 sec on affected point. An (aPDTG) aPDT, that is, low-power methylene blue 450 μg/mL.
