摘要: Central venous devices (CVDs) are widely used in patients with long-term access demand, such as nutritional support or drug delivery. Advances medicine have made it possible to prolong the lives of cancer and chronic illnesses, need for CVDs is rising. 1 Generally speaking, use a CVD safe convenient modality. 2 A 9-year-old girl history ornithine transcarbamylase deficiency, hyperammonemia, cerebral palsy, epilepsy was referred fever bilious vomiting. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy had been performed Port-A-Cath catheter (Bard, Salt Lake City, Utah) implanted via left femoral vein 10 months before admission. On hospitalization, patient’s physical findings were unremarkable—a distressed facial expression observed during administration from Port-A-Cath.
