摘要: Objectives The possibility that a bronchial inflammatory process could be involved with chronic nonproductive cough without other potential causes such as postnasal drip syndrome, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, or the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors has not been clearly described. We investigated is associated airway inflammation, and if this so, what relationship might between inflammation possible etiology cough. Subjects Twenty-five adults an isolated symptom over 3-week period, 5 healthy control subjects were studied. Measurements results Clinical assessments, scores, methacholine challenges, allergy skin prick tests, bronchoscopies for biopsies performed. In biopsies, patients divided into following two subgroups: 21 who infiltrated eosinophils vs group (median, 12.0 0.0 cells/mm 2 , respectively; p Conclusions These suggest due to eosinophil lymphocyte infiltration. eosinophilic cough-variant lymphocytic bronchitis.
