摘要: Response properties of the receptor potential at steady state were analyzed in a biophysical model an olfactory sensory neuron embedded multicell environment. The structure was described as set several identical dendrites (or cilia) bearing transduction mechanisms, joined to nonsensory part—dendritic knob, soma, and axon. different ionic compositions media surrounding parts extraneuronal voltage sources, which both result from presence auxiliary cells, also taken into account. Analytical solutions found describe how part responds uniform change odorant-dependent conductance resulting odorant stimulation dendrites. We investigated influence various geometrical electrical parameters on receptor-potential response classical within homogeneous environment surrounded with cells. First, it that maximum amplitude is independent absence cells but not their presence. In latter case, decreases length number input resistance part. Second, sensitivity (as measured by increase membrane half-maximum response) higher, its dynamic range narrower than wide low when small dendrite unbranched. Both are higher for longer dendrite. These results help understand morphology insect sensilla can be generalized other types.
