摘要: Objective Outpatient psychotherapy has been largely unsuccessful in assisting adults with anorexia nervosa (AN) to achieve weight restoration. The aim of the current study was evaluate change and attainment good moderate outcome at 12-month follow-up using Maudsley Model for Treatment Adults AN (MANTRA). Methods Of 33 people assessed, 28 commenced therapy, 23 completed it (82%). Results At post-treatment, seven (30%) met criteria one person outcome. At follow-up, six (26%) achieved outcome, a further five there were significant improvements body mass index, eating psychopathology motivation, large intention treat effect sizes (ES) 0.85, 1.19 1.57, respectively. Those who dropped out therapy significantly more likely binge or purge, this behaviour also associated size (0.71) when examining differences between obtained good/moderate versus poor Also predicting status lower baseline self-esteem ineffectiveness. Conclusion Further evaluation use MANTRA as an outpatient appears justified. Improvements could include early focus on purge behaviour, well modules addressing low ineffectiveness.
