摘要: Study Type – Diagnostic (exploratory cohort) Level of Evidence 2b What's known on the subject? and What does study add? The diagnostic potential ultrasound derived measurements bladder wall thickness weight in men with LUTS varying degrees BOO have been explored. However, there is a paucity such asymptomatic population which to compare patients. This investigates these community-dwelling presumably normal function. OBJECTIVE • To identify ultrasonography (US)-derived (BWT) function. SUBJECTS AND METHODS • A total 100 male volunteers underwent transabdominal US BWT weight, using BVM 9500 scanner (Verathon Medical, Bothell, WA, USA), at variety filling volumes. • The data were explored for any correlation between US-estimated (UEBW) subject age, height, body mass index (BMI), International Consultation Incontinence Questionnaire Male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (ICIQ M-LUTS) score, Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) IPSS Quality Life (IPSS QoL). RESULTS • Several statistically significant but weak correlations observed: (r= 0.216, P= 0.032); BMI 0.246, 0.014); UEBW 0.304, 0.002); 0.260, 0.009). • Bladder volume appeared greater effect than UEBW, although this could not be determined accurately. • There was substantial difference assessment inter- intra-observer reliability testing. CONCLUSION • Further studies are required validate automated investigate symptomatic population.
