摘要: The aim of the present study was to evaluate usefulness ultrasonic estimation bladder weight as a measure hypertrophy using transabdominal ultrasonography in men with infravesical obstruction. Ultrasonically estimated (UEBW) calculated from thickness wall measured ultrasonically and intravesical volume at measurement, assuming spheric bladder. There statistically significant correlation (r = 0.970, P <0.0001) between actual cadaver bladders UEBW. UEBW did not change filling. obstructed group (group O, 49.7 ± 19.5 g, mean SD) significantly greater than that normal control NC, 25.6 5.7 g; or nonobstructed NO, 28.4 4.2 <0.0001). greatest 34.8 g NC 35.2 whereas 94% (45 48) O had 35.0 g. In all 5 patients benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), increased decreased level 3 months after treatment for BPH. This new noninvasive method may be useful investigations hypertrophy.
