摘要: The behaviour of the thermoplastic polycarbonate has been investigated using manganin stress gauges in both longitudinal and lateral orientations. These have used to determine shock stress, velocity, particle release velocity shear strength. relationship between shown be linear, with value c0 (the zero intercept velocity) equating measured bulk sound speed. This is more commonly observed metals. Shear strength increase behind front, a feature other polymers such as PMMA or PEEK. It also increases amplitude, although projected calculated elastic response indicates that Hugoniot limit (HEL) lower than polymers, for example (ca. 0.75GPa) PEEK 1.0GPa). further suggests yield does not obey Mohr-Coloumb criterion, hence strongly pressure dependent polymers.
