摘要: Abstract The acrosome reaction of sperm the sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus purpuratus, is accompanied by ion movements. When induced addition egg jelly to suspended in water, there an acid release and uptake (or exchange) calcium ions. Verapamil D600, drugs which block Ca2+ channels, inhibit induction reaction, release, 45Ca2+ uptake; this inhibition reduced at higher concentrations external Ca2+. Although correlates temporally with extension filament, continues after has been completed. Neither nor inhibited cyanide, azide, dinitrophenol (DNP), or carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone (CCCP), whereas these metabolic inhibitors partially uptake. Tetraethylammonium (TEA) chloride, inhibitor delayed axonal potassium currents, inhibits reaction. An increase 86Rb+ permeability accompanies suggesting that movement K+ important effector In support this, may be triggered nigericin, ionophore catalyzes electrically neutral exchange H+ across membranes. Induction nigericin can occur either Na+ as predominant monovalent cation, while it requires Na+. With a delay uptake, filament extension, all follow transient proton Taken together, data suggest triggering involves linked changes for divalent
