The neglected laboratory test. The semen analysis.

摘要: Sixty-four laboratories from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and California were involved in a comparison of the types semen analyses offered. The collected data indicate that there is wide range normal values for each parameter considered analysis. Very few gave simple precise instructions collection specimen. In many instances was no record time or arrival specimen at laboratory. Most did not report motility forward progression intervals, abnormal morphology broken down according to abnormalities involved. These absolute need adequate standardization this important test, which basis upon clinician makes decision implicating male partner couple's infertility problem.
