摘要: Variation in semen measures was assessed bimonthly 15 healthy men over a 6-month period. Average within-subject coefficients of variation for sperm count, morphologic features, motility, and volume demonstrate considerable variation. Each day abstinence increased the by an increment 0.62 ml, count 17.6 X 10(6)/ml, motility 1.2%. Sperm correlated positively within subjects. Intraclass serial correlations provided empirical clinical guide to number spacing specimens. Three specimens spaced no more than 2 weeks apart established reliable profile. Findings can be applied basic research practice.
