摘要: Populist hunting movements have risen in recent years to safeguard rural interests against nature conservation. In extreme cases this movement has been accompanied by the illegal of protected species. Using Sweden and Finland as a case study, article elucidates how perceived exclusion hunters public debate on conservation mobilised subculture toward resistance regulatory agencies. Establishment an alternative discursive platform comprising several ruralities - counterpublic Negt Kluge's original term allowed publicise oppositional needs, rationalities debate, was key juncture their radicalisation trajectory. Finally paper argues that failure grant recognition radicalised some individuals beyond engaging hunting. This practice is marked termination political with society represents danger legitimacy.
