摘要: Background Seasonal fluctuation in suicide has been observed many populations. High temperature may contribute to this, but the effect of short-term fluctuations on rates not studied. Aims To assess relationship between daily and counts England Wales 1 January 1993 31 December 2003 establish whether heatwaves are associated with increased mortality from suicide. Method Time-series regression analysis was used explore quantify temperature. The impact two estimated. Results No spring or summer peak found. Above 18 ° C, each °C increase mean a 3.8 5.0% rise violent respectively. Suicide by 46.9% during 1995 heatwave, whereas no change seen heat wave. Conclusions There is risk hot weather.
