摘要: Background Pentraxin 3 (PTX3) is a cytokine-inducible molecule expressed in different tissues, the levels of which increase response to variety inflammatory conditions. Recently, it has been linked serum glucose and some comorbidities type 2 diabetes. Materials methods Here, we aimed investigate role PTX3 gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), considered forerunner diabetes. Fasting were measured 90 women [45 GDM, 45 normal tolerance (NGT)] during pregnancy. In addition, was 2 h, 75 g oral test (OGTT) 20 (10 10 NGT) at 24–28 weeks gestation 16 them after delivery (10GDM, 6 NGT). Results A continuous observed OGTT reached GDM group significant difference 120 min compared with baseline (P < 0·05). Additionally, rise concentration significantly higher GDM- NGT group, challenge (P < 0·01). During pregnancy, C-peptide positively correlated whole study whereas negative association found insulin sensitivity parameters QUICKI OGIS. Conclusions Dependence on more pronounced than group. This notion together its inverse relation sensitivity, suggests potential involvement pathology.
