摘要: Objective This study investigated the utility of measuring plasma long pentraxin 3 (PTX3) levels in early detection endothelial dysfunction compared with Von Willebrand factor (vWF) activity and flow-dependent arterial dilatation (well-known markers dysfunction) diabetic nephropathy. Materials methods A total 50 Egyptian patients type 2 diabetes 20 healthy controls were recruited from Diabetes, Endocrinology Metabolism center, Faculty Medicine, Cairo University. The divided into two equal groups comparable age sex: group I consisted normal urinary albumin excretion II microalbuminuria. Results In II, PTX3 level was significantly higher (median value 2.3 ng/ml) mean flow-mediated (FMD; 0.433±0.059) lower when control (PTX3 1.15 ng/ml, FMD 0.901±0.04; P Conclusion may represent a useful marker
