摘要: Sixteen choroid plexus (CP) tumors in 12 male and four female adult dogs were analyzed microscopically. Tumors the lateral (six), third fourth (four) ventricles. The average age of was 6 years. classified by following criteria: 1) papilloma (CPP), which resembled normal had low mitotic activity; 2) with atypical features (atypical CPP), increased cellular density, nuclear atypia, two to mitoses per 40x microscopic field, necrosis, infiltration brain parenchyma and/or leptomeninges; 3) carcinoma (CPC), marked poorly formed papillae, greater than abnormal figures, extraneural metastasis. 16 either as CPP or (none CPC). Statistically significant associations between necrosis identified. Immunohistochemical studies 11 demonstrated staining for keratin three tumors, also reacted carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). There no immunoreactivity glial fibrillary acidic protein epithelial membrane antigen. Choroid from one control stained focally cytokeratin only. It is concluded that CP dog express epithelial, but not differentiation.
