摘要: Hepatic cytosol from normal deermice having cytosolic alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH+) also displays retinol activity and converts to retinoic acid, whereas ADH- lacks these enzyme activities does not produce acid. Furthermore, microsomes either strain do convert However, when animals is added the microsomes, acid produced. The obligatory role of retinal as an intermediary step in formation further shown by isotopic dilution formed labeled upon addition unlabeled retinal. Microsomal catalyzes reduction retinol, thereby explaining decrease production liver ADH+ are added. Thus, results this study indicate that intermediate hepatic microsomal dehydrogenases play a key process.
