摘要: Abstract We have investigated transcription termination on a segment of Drosophila DNA that complements yeast adenine-8 mutation. Poly(A) + RNA transcribed from this in terminates at multiple sites clustered just beyond an AAUAAA sequence implicated polyadenylation higher eucaryotic messages. Deletion analysis indicates that, yeast, is not required for polyadenylation. Rather, signalled by region upstream the sequence. At least part control appears to be 8-base pair (bp) also found CYC1 gene. Termination various deletions show clear preference. These occur clusters 50 bp downstream region, suggesting similarities between and ρ-dependent bacteria.
