摘要: The mononuclear phagocyte system (MPS) is comprised of all those cells which possess true phagocytic activity. While it recognized that some phagocytes may proliferate locally (Spector & Willoughby 1968; Forbes Mackaness 1963; Shima et al. 1972; Shands Axelrod 1977), most tissue macrophages are thought to be derived directly from the blood monocyte, originates in bone marrow and not by local cellular division (Gordon Cohn 1973; van Furth 1970; Volkman Gowans 1965a, b; 1968). However, a significant fraction tissue-derived as well peripheral monocytes will extensively vitro when stimulated macrophage growth factor (MGF) (Lin Stewart 1973, 1974; der Zeijst 1978). In addition, MGF has been shown present tissues at levels found adequate induce proliferation (Stewart Lin apparent discrepancy between failure their demonstrated capacity do so remains resolved.
