摘要: The authors report on a case of intravascular ultrasonography (IVUS)-guided stent angioplasty for iatrogenic extracranial vertebral artery (VA) dissection in 49-year-old man after coil embolization an unruptured aneurysm the right posterior inferior cerebellar artery. Insignificant dissections occurred during procedure. Postoperatively, patient experienced gradually worsening neck pain and headache, follow-up angiography 8 months revealed expansion dissection. underwent with IVUS guidance his symptoms improved. To authors' knowledge, this is first IVUS-guided VA It was safe feasible to treat placement under guidance. Intravascular environments are real time IVUS, technique useful confirmation true lumen evaluation appropriate apposition. More clinical experience necessary mandatory, devices smaller diameters improved trackability essential further introduction into field endovascular neurosurgery.
