摘要: Background Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) is an important diagnostic tool in many interventions, particularly coronary and carotid artery angioplasty stenting. In contrast, its application the management of diseases cerebral venous system remains unexplored territory. We report three patients whom IVUS was used during angiography for evaluation flow obstruction secondary to sinus thrombosis, stenosis, a transverse mass lesion, respectively. addition, we review current literature summarize previous experience, focusing on advantages limitations technology interventional cardiology, disease, disease. Case Descriptions all cases, without any complications provided critical information that guided further these distinct diseases. helped diagnose presence intraluminal thrombus, severe lesion sinuses also assess response stenotic regions. Conclusions promising has potential improve accuracy guide several system. The cases describe suggest can be successfully when performing endovascular interventions with outflow or lesions.
