Teacher Ratings of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Symptoms in Hispanic Children

摘要: This study compared teacher's ratings of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in groups nonreferred Hispanic and non-Hispanic White children via the Teacher Report Form, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Scales—IV, Conners Abbreviated Rating Scale. A total 61 teachers completed behavior between 6 11 years old. Significant differences were found boys girls, with girls showing fewer problems hyperactive/inattentive symptoms to boys. In addition, Hispanics scored similar or lower than Whites on multiple subscales measuring symptomatology related overall behavioral disorders. no instance did score as more pathological children. The need consider rater's ethnicity is discussed, findings are explained terms childhood socialization patterns that might help discern displayed by classroom settings.
