摘要: Apical foramina of 36 vital maxillary and mandibular canines in nine mature cats were enlarged with a size 50 K file worked 1 to 11/2 mm beyond the radiographic apex. One side was randomly selected receive calcium hydroxide powder plug packed into apical canal contralateral received dentin filing plug. The canals then filled gutta-percha sealer using formed cone lateral condensation technique. At 1, 3, 9 months, three animals sacrificed histological evaluation teeth periapical tissues performed. Calcium plugs equally well control filling material. However, tended wash out quickly, whereas intact at months. Both resulted significant calcification foramen, but onset, pattern, extent differed. calcifications associated more complete than those observed plugs. appearance consistent that cellular cementum. No difference inflammation noted after month no healing observed. By month, particles or filings present tissues.
