摘要: Abstract Introduction The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect calcium hydroxide premedication on marginal adaptation mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) apical barrier. Methods Forty single-rooted teeth were prepared and apically resorbed using sulfuric acid for 4 days. Teeth allocated into two groups according whether placed in canals 1 week (medicated group) or not (nonmedicated before placing a 4-mm MTA plug canals. roots mounted aluminum stubs, root apex viewed from top under scanning electron microscopy, maximum distance between surrounding dentin measured. Results mean gap widths medicated nonmedicated 70.2 μm 130.0 μm, respectively ( p Conclusions Calcium treatment improves plug.
