摘要: Purpose: Little is known about physical therapists' views on the use of portfolios to evaluate professional competence. The purpose this study was gather opinions therapists feasibility and acceptability a portfolio prepared demonstrate evidence clinical specialization through reported activities accomplishments related development, leadership, research. Methods: Twenty-nine Canadian practising in neurosciences area were given 8 weeks prepare portfolio. Participants submitted along with survey addressing preparation its role as an assessment tool. Qualitative content analysis used interpret participants' comments. Results: that maintaining organized records facilitated their They experienced pride when reviewing completed portfolios, which summarized highlighted achievements. Concerns noted veracity self-reported ability documentation provide comprehensive view full scope competencies required for (e.g., skills). Conclusion: study's findings support review assess competence therapy have implications both agencies.
