摘要: This paper presents highlights of current research programs sponsored by the U.S. Air Force. These are aimed at better understanding basic metallurgical factors which affect strength, toughness, high-temperature performance, and resistance to aggressive environments materials required operate near limit their capacities in aerospace applications. Results these studies presented three areas: synthesis, processing science, behavior.
